Contact us
Questions, bug reports, tool requests and corrections are all welcome. Here is how to reach us and what to include.
Redmoon Converters is built and maintained by Paul Clark at Redmoon Software. Every message is read by a person, and we reply to anything that needs a reply.
The fastest way to reach us is by email. Write to us about:
- A bug or wrong result in one of the tools
- A correction to a formula, a constant or one of our guides
- A calculator or converter you would like us to build
- Privacy questions or data requests (see our privacy policy)
- Anything else on your mind
Reporting a wrong result
The most useful bug report tells us how to reproduce the number. Include the name of the tool, the exact inputs you entered (including which units and presets were selected), the answer the tool gave and the answer you expected, and if you can, where your expected figure comes from. A link to a standard, a data sheet or a textbook table lets us check both figures against the same source. If the tool is right and the expectation is not, we will explain why, and if that explanation belongs on the page we will add it.
Requesting a tool
Tell us what job you are trying to do rather than what the tool should look like. The best tools on this site came from a specific problem: a recipe that needed scaling to an odd pan size, a delay time that had to sit on a dotted eighth, a filament spool that ran out mid-print. If there is a formula or a published table behind the job, point us at it and we can usually build the tool around it.
Send feedback in one click
Prefer not to open your email client? Use the in-site feedback form, available from the button below and from the footer of every page. Leaving your email address is optional, but including it lets us reply.
What happens next
Confirmed errors are fixed in the tool and in its write-up, and the fix is noted on the page. Tool requests go on the list and are built when they fit; we do not promise a date. We do not add anyone who writes to us to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
